I bought it for my the 5 year old nephew, who loved it, but for me it was too difficult to transform. My 16 year old nephew was able to do it, but it wasn't easy for him either. I have tried and tried to get this into car form for my 3yr. old and it just isn't totally possibly. It will not completely take that form...so it really is kind of a bummer of a toy. My son loves it because of the movie and the name but it really does not transform well or easily at all! Sometimes the parts didn't stay together very well. He is 10 years old and normally he has not problems figuring out how to put something together, but this one was a bit of a challenge.
